It is so sad that such a nice place offers so little individual care for the residents in the last stages of their lives. No one ever asked the family about special needs of their loved ones. We found her one morning with the air conditioner at 67 and she was dressed in her lightest garments even though she had warner clothing. I requested she be given water because the doctor said she was dehydrated, and the response was that water was put on her tray, but she was blind.

When I said that when I talked to the social worker she said he didn't have a phone, did you know that? He was given a shower the second day of his arrival and never got another one and was there for two weeks. He had been given wash clothes up to a point and had to use paper towels to wash. In order for me to get his dirty laundry without going through all the sarcastic remarks these people hand out he would get in his wheel chair and bring it up to the front. He was overlooked on many requests and was only given the small pitcher of water once a day. I could go on but I am running out of room.

I liked how the facility had a monthly calendar that listed events such as bingo, piano night, comedy night, etc. These events were very cool in providing the patient excitement to help make them give somewhat of a notion that life isn't over for them. There is still time to live, laugh, and enjoy. The facility had nice and peaceful areas outside that you can take your love one for a short walk. It was frustrating in dealing with the doctors and nurses that treated the patients as if it was the end of the road for them.
